Algae

Algae is a plant like thing that grows in water. The most commen color for algae is green because, of the oxygen and nutriants it receves from the water. Did you know? Some gas companys are trying to turn algae into a alturnitive fuels.

   Bactirea inside algae

When the bactirea inside the algae grows it will sometimes turn different colors.

This algae has bactirea in it so it has different coloers

How algae grows in water

Algae has to have the right conditions to grow in water, such as adequate nutrients mainly being phosphorus but nitrogen is important too; light levels, pH, tempratures and so on.

Life Cycle

Algae gets into water by rain and if allowed to grow bactirea will enter it and it will get its green color. Algae can not die; it will either be eaten or grow and end up suficating  us all. If algae got too big then it grow onto land then it would sprout legs and eat us; or at least thats the way a sci- fi dork would explain it.( please ignore this coment)NN

Life Spand

The life spand of algae is forever unless it is eaten. Because if algae is unharmed and allowed to grow and nothing eats it it will stay there for ever and become a big blob of green stuff.
