Ms Lawson's Kiddos - Classroom Wiki

Students will start their research on a teacher-approved topic
Student research will be recorded first on paper or student-created electronic document
Students will cite information that they got from published sources
- cite = tell where you found your information
  - Google is not a source!
  - Examples::
    - Virginia was the first colony. (found at: http://www.americaslibrary.gov/cgi-bin/page.cgi/jb/colonial)
    - This is a picture of General Greene. (I found it at http://www.americaslibrary.gov/jb/colonial/jb_colonial_greene_1_e.html)
    - Virginia's first major crop was tobacco. (page 117 in our Social Studies book)
- Don't worry about what your cite looks like, just give the reader an idea about where you found your information.

Student will create at least one page that presents the information they found.
Student can create additional pages that support their reserach and will be linked to their main page
Student can use some photos, but choose only a few since the site will not save a large amount of data.
Students will avoid 'plugins'
Editor passwords will not be shared with other students without permission from Ms Lawson
Students will answer all of the curriculum questions given to them by Ms Lawson

First, login using the information Ms Lawson gave you in class
Click 'Edit' on this page.
Place the curser below these instructions and type your project title.
Highlight your project title and click the link on the right side, "Insert a link to a new page".
Type a short name for your new page (ex: dogs, space, climate change) the click 'Okay'.
Save your changes to this page.
Click on your new link to go to your new page and start editing it.
